Having gone through many phases of depression, having cats helps me emotionally. Watching their antics is very entertaining. I see them as more than pets. They are my children. My happiness for when my heart feels heavier. The reason I force myself out of bed everyday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had Mokcik when I knew nothing about cats other than the fact that i like them. We bought cheap kibbles from supermarkets, and thought, as long as his stomach was full and happy, it would be enough. We didn\u2019t know that his long term poor diet would lead to his kidney failing<\/strong>, and within a week of diagnosis, he left us forever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also did not know that losing a cat feels like losing a family member<\/strong>. I mourned his loss for months, and when I was ready to have a new pet, I promised myself to never repeat the same mistake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Lola. The trauma of losing a family pet years before was enough of a lesson, so we adopted her after extensive research on cat\u2019s care<\/strong> and wellbeing. She is a high maintenance gorgeous sassy girl who hates every cat she encounters and needs a lot of space just for her alone. Do I still love her with all my heart? YES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
